Bullfight

For a true taste of Spain, this east-side spot is just the place. We love to start with a refreshing white vermouth on ice with a plate of olives, cheesy fried jamón croquettes, and succulent bacon-wrapped dates. We relished the seasonal brightness of tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumber in the gazpacho and a salad of heirloom tomatoes with a tangy basil pesto and spongy chickpea-and-kalamata-olive croutons. Both the fragrant lamb kofta with carrot–garbanzo bean hummus and the spicy pork albóndigas with citrus and mint rounded out a delicious meal, but we were sure to finish with a sweet plate of honey-soaked toasted baguette slices with strawberries and burnt-honey-and-almond ice cream.
