Revisiting the town’s only kosher-style deli, we reveled anew in the Rebecca, an egg-bread sandwich with layers of impossibly tender pastrami, smoked turkey, cream cheese, and Russian dressing. A side of tangy red sauerkraut was the crowning touch. Smoked trout on a fresh bagel was perfection, and baked potato soup soothed on a cool day. The butterscotch pie, with a lovely meringue atop, was still warm from the oven at noon.
