With its out-of-the-way location on the edge of downtown Bryan, this intimate spot is good for scoring quality Mexican food while avoiding large crowds. The dining room was nevertheless hopping when we arrived to pick up our order, filled with patrons enjoying the signature margaritas and carne asada fries. Order this to go: The Parrillada Mar y Tierra fajitas feature tender beef and plump shrimp; the accompanying charro beans are expertly seasoned with a pleasantly spicy kick. Pro tip: About halfway through your meal, you’re going to yearn for more of the house-made flour tortillas. Order extra.
