Already known in Bryan–College Station for Harvey Washbangers and Stella Southern Cafe, Michael Lair recently added a new joint to his repertoire. Clementine’s, located in downtown’s Old Bryan Marketplace, offers a comfortable, white-tablecloth experience and a frequently changing menu of playful fare that includes butter-seared octopus with cannellini beans and a sandwich that mixes bacon, apples, and roasted snap peas. During a lunchtime visit, we indulged in a creamy-textured tart of caramelized onion and Boursin cheese and followed that with pesto-topped seared salmon with cheddar grits.
