Divine’s founder, Kevin Hawkins, has responded to our unpredictable times by expanding his catering services via food truck and focusing on satisfying home-style takeout food. Order this to go: Though Mr. Hawkins has considered the needs of the health conscious with offerings such as blackened fish, veggie plates, and salads, there is just something wrong about abstaining from the soulful chicken-fried steak (or chicken), fried okra, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, or peach cobbler. Pro tip: We were lucky enough to drop by on a Sunday, which is the only day you can get the sublime chicken and dressing (with the requisite cranberry sauce). We added cheddar-and-jalapeño-stuffed potatoes (because why not?) and topped it all off with thick slices of chocolate icebox pie.
