Food is love at Divine, where the Hawkins family has been tending to the minds, bodies, and souls of Longview residents for the past ten years. We cannot stay away from the chicken-fried steak, corn bread, greens, and mashed potatoes with lots and lots of cream gravy. Expect the greens to be flavored with good old-fashioned bacon grease, exactly the way your Grandma did it. (The food is more for the health of the spirit than the heart.) We are not Divine’s only devotees; the place is so popular that another lo- cation, in north Longview, is on the way, as is a food truck.
