Taking over the iconic Victor Tangos building in the Knox-Henderson neighborhood, Felix Culpa (translated loosely from Latin as “happy accident”) is larger than life, with its chandeliers, dramatically lit paintings, and replica of Jeff Koons’s Popeye sculpture. But the lively bar scene and friendly staff make it a relaxed setting nevertheless. Touting comfort food with a European flair, the menu runs from appetizers like tuna crudo (artfully plated with generous portions of fresh fish) and gnocchi (delightful, with pickled fennel and Swiss chard) to hearty entrées of pork chop milanese and filet mignon.
