Festejo Peruvian Grill
Named for a festive form of Afro-Peruvian music, this ten-table strip-center spot attracts both aficionados and adventurers. Start with a beautiful salt-speckled empanada, light, crunchy, and super-sized. Move along to ceviche Peru-style: swai, a mild white fish, doused with bright key lime juice and surrounded by sugared sweet potato disks, crispy cancha (corn nuts), and choclo (huge boiled field-corn kernels). Chicken dishes and seafood are also appealing. The helpful staff is happy to chat about the country’s varied cuisine.
