Blessed with great sidewalk seating, this casual “American-Italian” restaurant is popular with the Uptown crowd. Order some salumi, and try the Resting Spritz Face, a refreshing, pineapple-Aperol-prosecco concoction—and a bargain at $10. We enjoyed the crispy calamari fritti with spicy cherry pepper aioli, preferring it to the arancini with spring peas, which featured less-than-creamy risotto. Handmade creste di gallo pasta was tossed with a flavorful short rib ragù, but overcooking caused the pretty macaroni to tear. The pork chop milanese, served with sliced apple, fennel, and arugula, boasted crisp breading and a thin drizzle of tasty lemon-caper aioli, but, alas, the meat was dry.
