With a giant red tail spinning on top of this popular Seawall restaurant, it’s difficult to miss. Fish Tales always packs a full house for lunch and dinner, thanks to its location across from the Pleasure Pier, fabulous beach views (especially from the upstairs balcony), and menu of seafood straight from the Gulf of Mexico, as well as plenty of pasta choices, grilled steaks, and fresh salads. We went for the famous Shrimp Kisses, crispy bacon-wrapped shrimp stuffed with melted jalapeño Jack cheese, then shared the blackened catfish étouffée (seasoned just right) and the luscious buttery crawfish étouffée. Redfish Mardi Gras featured nicely grilled fish, but the sauce was busy with too many competing flavors. Save room for a banana split or grab a cone at the cute ice cream shop on the ground floor. Parking is easy and validated next door.
