Bright and airy, this place delights diners with large painted murals, a spacious interior, and a traditional brick oven topped with a copper chimney. Counter service allows you to build your pie while perusing the fresh ingredients on display. A friendly staff delivers orders quickly on plates, glasses, and silverware that are a step above the cheap ware in other pizza joints. As a starter, we went for the bur- rata served with roasted nectarines, arugula, and prosciutto. Then we did custom orders of red, white, and green (pesto-based) pies. Those not in the mood for pizza are well taken care of with heavenly red wine–braised beef shanks.
