Dining Guide
Ginger & Fork
With a spate of new Chinese restaurants in town, this Heights newcomer from well-known Houstonian Mary Li rates among the most attractive. It boasts pristine white walls with dramatic large black silhouettes (one a dragon), a long bar at front serving craft cocktails, and a welcoming back patio. And the menu is primarily Cantonese. The best dishes—terrific curry-coated noodles with shrimp, pork, and chicken; crisp, fresh stir-fried green beans; and slices of steak in black pepper sauce—all promise success for this venture.
