Helen in the Heights
After a short-lived experiment with Italian food, a.k.a. Arthur Ave, the Helen folks have decided to keep the rustic setting but return to their Greek roots, importing some dishes from their original Rice Village location and adding some more down-home fare as well. We went both old and new, order- ing our favorite htipiti dip and trying the impossibly rich Greek Queso: kefalograviera and kasseri cheeses with banana peppers. The lamb-and-beef gyro is hearty and filling, the tender meat folded into a giant piece of pita.
