Dining Guide

Himalaya has garnered national attention of late for its vibrant Indo-Pakistani dishes, created by chef-owner Kaiser Lashkari. Order this to go: the signature paneer hara masala. Bright, clean, and green, it’s a heavenly combination of coriander, garlic, chiles, and tender chunks of fresh paneer. Or the saag aloo, potatoes rolled into a mix of creamed spinach and mustard greens. Or the tender, char-grilled Steak Tikka Bourdain, named for the late chef and TV personality, whose visit helped introduce Himalaya to a wider world. Consider finally, the inspired nod to regional fusion: some of the lightest and crispiest fried chicken in town, Lashkari’s “HFC.” Pro tip: Our food was promptly brought to the car, but we have heard of lengthy waits, so factor that in when you order online.
