Whether you choose takeout or a sit-down meal under the oak trees, this food truck at the Hye Cider Company has all the favorites, like spring rolls, curries, and pad thai, with levels of heat that range from “no heat” to “hurt me.” The cidery has five choices, all of which pair well with the food, but we loved the Hye Bay, a savory and slightly sweet offering. Order this to go: the Banh Mi in a Bowl, with grilled pork, fresh herbs, and pickled vegetables atop a bed of rice and spinach. The pork is tender and flavorful and the vegetables fresh. We also raved over the Curry Fried Rice with garlic chives and jalapeño. Pro tip: Sitting slightly off U.S. 290, the truck and cidery are between the Blue Lotus and Calais wineries.
