Park Cities and Preston Hollow residents are flocking to this Italian spot in Preston Center. Handsome tile floors and rustic wood panels lend a relaxed, contemporary air. Our meal began with delicious fried baby artichokes served with herbed aioli. We enjoyed three well-executed entrées: tender chicken piccata in lemon-butter-caper sauce, pan-seared sea bass with gremolata, and an excellent—and hearty—eggplant Parmesan enlivened with a rich tomato ragù. Creamy white beans and sausage made a perfect accompaniment. Handmade pastas impressed with their texture: linguine and clams came in a buttery, garlicky wine sauce; gemelli in a spicy vodka sauce veering toward tomatoey sweetness. A silky panna cotta proved a refreshing finale.
