Ironwood’s vibe is that of a family-friendly neighborhood bar, where locals catch up on the latest news and kids frolic in the play area (complete with sandbox) outside. We heard through the grapevine that the onion rings were to die for, so we chose them as an appetizer and were glad we did; the crispy fried rounds are indeed delicious. Also excellent were the pineapple-chipotle-glazed shrimp with pepper jack grits and an Alfredo-sauced pizza stacked with juicy grilled sirloin, red onions, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, and fresh arugula. Our youngest diner deemed her grilled cheese and side of fries absolutely yummy.
