Joe Leo (named for co-owner Kyle Noonan’s grandfather) prides itself on classic Tex-Mex dishes, especially its fajitas, served with fresh, house-made tortillas. There’s an atmospheric patio nearly as big as the spacious dining room, and naturally there’s a sizable bar to match. We enjoyed the Golden Taco that came with the big, messy Deluxe Special combo plate; spiced beef, shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomato were stuffed into a corn tortilla shell so huge that it easily fed two. The best bite was the bacon- and cheese-wrapped shrimp brochette; at brunch, the huevos divorciados were a delight.
