As Laredo’s downtown jockeys for restoration and revitalization, this colorful Thai restaurant delivers both. Museum-white walls are anchored with pale wood tables and electric orange marigolds. The equally vibrant menu offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, as well as boundary-challenging off-menu specials. The Street Food section offers a luxurious red curry beef thick with buttery coconut milk and bright with chile. Pineapple fried rice comes atop a fresh half-pineapple, marbled with fat shrimp and nicely blanketed with a toothsome sweet chile sauce. Our guilty pleasure is the mango sticky rice, in which the fruit is fanned into petals cupped atop the indulgent rice. The bar has some enticing offerings, most incorporating fresh flowers.
