At the West U outpost of this New York–style deli, expect a similar menu to the Post Oak location’s but a smaller space, outfitted with theater posters, photos of the Three Stooges, and the famous case of enticing desserts. Although there are more than 25 menu selections, encompassing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, one category wins: sandwiches. We mean towering masterpieces like Love at First Bite, starring juicy house-made pastrami on rye with turkey, coleslaw, and Russian dressing—easily split between two hungry adults. Classics like matzo ball soup, meat loaf, and the lox-bagel platter are perennial favorites, but we could skip the newfangled entrée salads and fish specials.
