Khao Noodle Shop
Hip yet laid-back, this noodle house channels Southeast Asian flavors, especially the Laotian dishes that chef-owner Donny Sirisavath grew up eating. Perched at a communal table, we got menu tips from both nearby regulars and our excellent server (order extra sauces!). The Boat Noodles wowed us with a dark pork bone marrow broth, simmered for 24 hours. Another favorite was the mee katee, rice noodles in a delicate coconut curry broth, topped with peanuts, herbs, and crispy puffed rice. Shareable plates, like the crispy Shrimp Bites, rounded out our dining adventure.
