In cowboy hats and boots, city slickers are stampeding to this all-Texan ranch house. The big ol’ menu features steaks (duh), barbecue, Tex-Mex, and Gulf Coast seafood. Think Saltgrass Steak House’s fun, rich cousin. Order this to go: creamy queso blanco spiked with smoked brisket is a crowd-pleaser, but it may need a zap in the microwave when you return home. Other pluses: a center-cut filet, perfectly cooked medium-rare; tasty grilled mushrooms in chimichurri; and a rich side of cheesy grits. Our fave, though, was the King Ranch enchiladas, a stack of pure comfort with layers of tortilla, smoked chicken, and mushroom cream sauce. Pro tip: Online orders are easy, and pickup times can be set. Curbside is available.
