Bryan–College Station is dotted with Asian restaurants, and some, naturally, are better than others. None of them, however, can beat the Thai food offered here. Inside this unpretentious strip-center spot is some amazing yellow curry, a favorite of many customers. On a recent visit, we also sampled the pad see ew, another Thai staple; we added chicken to the dish, although the tasty wide noodles and fresh green vegetables in a thick, tangy sauce would be just as satisfying for a non-carnivore. Like the curry, the pad see ew has a spicy kick that will wake up your taste buds without overwhelming them. While the entrée prices at Kluay Kluay can seem a little steep, the portions are beyond generous, leaving plenty left over for a meal or two later in the week. (A second Bryan location opened this summer at Villa Maria Road and Harvey Mitchell Parkway, four miles west of the original.)
