There are many contenders for the best Tex-Mex in Alpine, and this little house is surely one. So busy is it at lunch that most tables fill by 11:30. On our last visit we pulled up carved and painted wooden chairs and considered our options. We settled on the tasty beef fajita quesadilla (also available with chicken or ground beef), a flour tortilla plenty big enough for two, crisped on the grill, lined with cheese, and stuffed with chunks of beef (knife and fork required). Guacamole comes on the side; smear some inside and finish it all, if you can.
