Dining Guide

La Villa Saint-Tropez

The owners of this long-awaited successor to Café Azur have kept some of the cheerful white and blue interior but have completely revamped the menu. We relished an arugula salad with shavings of artichoke and Parmesan, olive oil, and balsamic vinaigrette—simple but crisp and clean tasting—and a richer burrata, the creamy cheese layered with grape tomatoes and basil. Our favorite entrées included meaty, tender slices of roasted duck breast spiked with thyme in a honey sauce and a plate of two monster meat balls, tender and moist with parsley, crushed tomatoes, pesto, and Parmesan, all piled on tortiglioni pasta.
