Dining options in the Rio Grande Valley get more diverse all the time. Here, chef Efren Yanez has introduced the flavors of his native Peru and nearby regions. We started with a delicious traditional ceviche with mahimahi, choclo, chunks of sweet potato, and a spicy rocoto sauce, which we happily scooped up with freshly fried tostadas. We also loved the mussels and noodles in a hearty seafood broth. Be sure to try one of the cocktails, like a Pisco sour or tamarind margarita.
