Ling Qi Wu’s fourth Austin restaurant (after Lin Asian Bar, Qi, and Ling Kitchen) is a welcome addition to the Southwest Parkway corridor. Dumplings were instant favorites from the dim sum list, both the chef’s famous soup variety, tender and bursting with soul-warming broth, and the crispy pan-seared basil-chicken dumplings. On the side, shredded cabbage salad with chunks of fresh cucumber and candied pecans was sweet and refreshing. We loved the fried shrimp tossed with Szechuan peppercorns, but another entrée stole the show: Akaushi beef sautéed in brown honey sauce with sweet-bitter orange peel and served with a side of garlicky wilted pea shoots.
