Mah-Jong Chinese Kitchen
A nice touch was the complimentary bowl of hot and sour soup with pork and fried wontons for added crunch. And the pan seared scallion pancake we ordered was a delightful appetizer. Looking for all the world like birds’ nests were the pan-fried crispy noodles, Hong Kong style, filled with carrots, snow peas, exotic mushrooms, and chicken—quite satisfying. House-made crème brûlée was executed perfectly. As for the pleasant atmosphere, picture chopsticks laid on authentic mahjong tiles, bamboo birdcage light fixtures, and American jazz.
