It’s hard to know what to think. An enormous Victorian house with a nautical vibe, adorned in oil paintings, Oriental rugs, and large TVs. A globally inspired menu of dishes oddly divided into “Selfless” (shareable) and “Selfish.” Items such as Vietnamese Summer Rolls, Snow Seaweed Salad, Nashville-Style Hot Chicken, and the Big Dog (Chicago-style hot dog) left us begging for a focus. The most popular appetizer, the Crab Mac & Jack Fritters with sriracha aioli, was a gooey combination that might have been tasty had it been hot. And the Shaking Beef Salad, with marinated tenderloin, avocado, heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, and watercress, was merely satisfactory.
