This contemporary dining room perched atop Forty Five Ten, a pricey boutique store for the über-chic, offers a view that includes a posh hotel’s infinity pool cantilevered over Elm Street. Two walls of glass make for a light-filled setting, a backdrop for tables and banquettes busy with couples, business lunchers, and quartets of friends. The menu isn’t huge, but it’s elegant, and the plates are gorgeously colorful. For starters, try the tomato soup, the deviled eggs topped with caviar, or the tuna crudo with marinated gooseberries and tangy lime. Melon cubes and cucumber in Little Gem lettuce made a salad big enough to share. We loved the flaky Pacific halibut with a side of ratatouille, and we finished up lunch with a luscious lemon pavlova encased in a dome of meringue that we cracked open, piñata-like, with a spoon.
