This funky little cafe is a family affair whose slogan is “Established in 2018, inspired years before.” It breaks country norms to visit such a cafe and not order chicken-fried steak, and we are nothing if not rule followers, so we indulged: it was tender and crispy and served with the requisite mashed potatoes and cream gravy (but we did eat every piece of the accompanying green salad). The menu of made-in-house items is small but on the road to expansion, and we will wait patiently to see what the kitchen conjures up.
