Take it from the top with a strikingly decadent creamy burrata with antipasti of vegetables (from grilled to fried to roasted), not to mention toasty focaccia cubes and anchovy-rich black olive tapenade. This Silo-cousin in the Fairmount Hotel shares amenities with the steakhouse Silo Prime, including guest access to the romantic rooftop terrace bar for be-fore- or after-dinner drinks. Settle in for entrées like velvety smooth gnocchi topped with tender shredded rabbit with fennel and olives, meaty rich bolognese, and a pizza topped with blue cheese, zucchini, and cauliflower. For dessert, the light mousse-textured tiramisu makes any meal a celebration. The street-side dining room is simple, bright, and just formal enough to make it special, and it offers views of Alamo Street and HemisFair Park. Service, as with all of the Silo venues, is polished, friendly, and willing to please.
