This cute cottage take-away cafe, located on the almost-all-residential edge of Beacon Hill, serves up home-cooked, no-fuss comfort to those short on time or skill. Check the nightly menu online—paella, vegetarian saffron risotto—and pick up curbside or perch at one of the tables inside the tiny dining room or outside. If you do dine there, go for the prix fixe; courses change twice a week and seem custom fit for busy couples, partners with different diets, and parents who want to eat something besides chicken nuggets (add the wine pairings). Our meal included cioppino with mussels, shrimp, and fish and a polenta with roasted veggies, both delicious. Also on order are a few heat-and-eat entrées and to-go soups, sauces, and sides.
