Peace of Bread
Lured by the punny name and imposing red-brick building, we stopped by for some lunch on an unusually cool (for Texas) summer morning. The breezy patio was a lovely venue, and the pulled pork–stuffed baked potato made for delightful sustenance. The spicy blackened tilapia reminded us just how close to the Louisiana border we were, and it paired perfectly with the pasta salad. Though burdened by a busy lunch rush, the service was attentive and folksy.
