Perry’s Off the Square
Chef and owner Michael Perry has done something special with the former Bois D’arc (which was itself a former “may I check under the hood for you, ma’am” kind of gas station back in the sixties). Though he served as chef in the former restaurant, Perry has made this new upscale venture his own. The fried green tomato salad with pecans and arugula and bacon (with a spicy ranch) reunited us with our Southern roots, while the blackened salmon with lobster cream sauce and risotto cakes was out of this world.
