Dining Guide
Piola
Now with a decade under its belt, this Cultural District charmer tucked inside a 1930s bungalow boasts a freshened-up interior with a modern, sleek look. Owner-chef Bobby Albanese doesn’t tinker much with his proven menu of family favorites, like shrimp-asparagus risotto, both light and satisfying, and his grandmother’s lasagna, made with ground beef tenderloin and tissue-thin pasta sheets. We like lingering over glasses of wine on the enclosed patio, grazing on a series of small plates like mozzarella-stuffed arancini and creamy goat cheese with marinated peppers to spread on crisp bruschetta.
