Located on a bend of Big Cypress Bayou, on its way to Caddo Lake, this picturesque spot, with a covered deck overlooking the water, is a welcome find. Order this to go: The simple menu reflects East Texas favorites, from burgers to catfish. We dove into a twelve-ounce Prime Angus ribeye with a side of hand-cut fries, then tackled the blackened redfish, served over rice with a generous scoop of pico de gallo and a zesty lemon-dill cream (we added a side of fried green tomatoes). Pro tip: Cell service can be spotty; check River Bend’s Facebook page for detailed driving instructions.
