Foodies are flocking to this latest in the trio of Goodnight Hospitality’s new restaurants in a complex anchored by honky-tonk Goodnight Charlie’s. Rosie Cannonball’s charms are many, including a warm, modern setting punctuated with cactus-filled window boxes, a glowing wood-burning oven, generous banquettes, and an inviting bar dispensing Insta-worthy cocktails. The Euro-American comfort food also satisfies, with highlights like pizzas—crisp with puffy edges, light on cheese, but delightfully balanced in flavor—and salads, namely the blistered green bean, an ingenious flavor bomb with pea shoots, sweet peppers, olives, and bright lemon vinaigrette. Meaty clams steamed in sherry with chorizo and white beans also got the thumbs-up. But oddballs surfaced, like a sourdough-brined pork chop atop a bland green-parsley-potato mash and a lovely-looking burrata cheese ensemble served freezing cold with chilled charred tomatoes.
