This chic but relaxed Mediterranean hot spot hasn’t lost its mojo. The vast menu of enticing small plates, memorable entrées, and exciting wines lures us back again and again. Well-versed servers help navigate a sea of choices that meld western and eastern Mediterranean flavors. We swooned over a meze plate of French lentils served on a lusty mound of piquillo-pepper-and-walnut muhamarra. Short rib ravioli was another standout; the savory sauce—made with the beef braising liquid—had a nice tomato tang and slight buttery richness. Don’t miss the Iberico Secreto with pimiento sauce and salsa verde; rich and rosy, this steaklike cut of prized Iberian pork shoulder rivals the best beefsteaks in town. Almond cake with huckleberries and lemon-thyme ice cream proved an excellent finale.
