Sangria on the Burg
We hear a lot about casual, quirky, two-year-old Sangria on the Burg, and it’s all good. The name emphasizes the varied sangrias at this wine bar/pub, but the food is just as interesting. Farm to table is the ethic: beef is ground in-house; breads are local; grilled seasonal veggies are as popular as the smoked meats. A good first visit? Taco Tuesday. Choose three (maybe Hawaiian pork in tangy pineapple salsa, wood-grilled assorted mushrooms, and sweet mayonnaise fried chicken). Order queso fundido alongside so you can fold a slab of grilled panela cheese between your choice of kitchen-made tortillas, either corn or flour.
