Known as the best place to get peel-and-eat shrimp on the island, Shrimp ’N Stuff now has a new downtown location, which is larger and spiffier and a bit more upscale, with full table service and plenty of parking. We started with the well-seasoned fried boudin balls, served atop strips of crispy potato skin strips, with a tangy rémoulade. Set on broiled flounder walking in the door, our minds were quickly changed by the aroma of fresh shrimp. The po’boy came piled high with lightly battered shrimp, and the Shrimp Salad Stack was a beautiful layering of tomatoes, avocados, and shrimp salad atop a bed of greens. All seafood is purchased locally. Stop in for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings to try the crab cake Benedict.
