This recently transformed space echoes a rustic cousin somewhere “over there”: two small dining rooms have a handmade charm (no doubt because of the owner’s own hand in the furniture and decor), and the menu goes far beyond the promised pizzas (which are, by the way, fabulous). Blackboard menus promise and deliver on the best seasonal ingredients with offerings that range from slow-cooked osso buco that melts off the bone to a char-grilled swordfish over spaghetti puttanesca. A lovely black bass, baked in the same brick oven as the pizza, and a rustic loaf of bread were perfectly complemented with a neat array of root veggies and wilted spring greens. This place has fast become a King William meeting spot.
