Exposed brick, rustic furnishings, an open kitchen, and live music attract all types to this downtown spot near the old train station. One of the first to bet on the revitalized neighborhood, Tabla has new ownership, a two-man team that consists of a brewmaster and a chef. They have improved upon an already great menu, adding items like a beautiful pear salad with pecans and chunks of goat cheese. We also love the tapas, particularly the tender, flavorful grilled pork with a piquillo pepper dipping sauce. The smoked duck is fab, paired with red cabbage and jicama.
