Texas Scratch Kitchen
Yes, everything is made from scratch here. We like the laid-back elegance of the decor, especially the colorful photos of bluebonnets, oil wells, and Longhorn cattle. If you’re going for the TCFS (Texas chicken-fried steak), be warned it’s big enough for two hungry people. And it’s top quality, made with a panko-breaded strip steak, not some nameless pounded cut. And it’s sided by mashed potatoes and string onion rings. Our dessert, white chocolate bread pudding with bourbon sauce and a big dollop of vanilla ice cream, had us happily waddling from the premises.
