This bright, cheerful Thai spot south of Hobby Airport is worth a visit whether you live in the neighborhood or are just passing through. The lunch menu is a steal, and the dishes are fresh, well-spiced, and full of flavor. Generous chicken satay and light crispy wontons led to a perfect yellow curry; we had ours with beef, medium heat—just right. Basil chicken satisfied, but the highlight of the meal was the crispy duck served with plum sauce and jasmine rice. Our dessert, dubbed FBI, translated as Fried Bananas with Ice Cream, and the bananas wrapped in phyllo were luscious.
