Dining Guide

The Magnolia Pancake Haus

Whether you’re hankering for an all-American short stack, a fluffy fruit-topped Belgian waffle, or one of a global array of omelets, breakfast (and a bunch of salads, burgers, and sandwiches too) is lined up and at the ready daily. They don’t take reservations, but they’ll text you if you want to wander around under the oaks here (this second location will soon expand to include a special-events hall and an educational farm next door). For an extreme pancake experience, tackle (preferably with someone else) the apfel pfannkuchen, a Bavarian extravaganza of caramelized sugar, apples, and whipped cream. The eggs Benedict is good too, and the Southern Bennie is another over-the-top item, with pulled pork, barbecue sauce, and hollandaise on a biscuit. You get the picture. Be sure to leave time for a nap after the meal.
