Be prepared to make new friends or hear more than you ever wanted to know about your neighbors (read: the tables are too close together). That said, it’s been years since we ordered fish and chips; the batter, made from an award-winning Ballast Point beer, transformed the pieces of white fish into a delight (we assume the tartar sauce here is house made; they should market it), and the chips were crusty and perfect. A Caesar salad was slightly overdressed, and the crab cake was diminished by a less-than-satisfactory proportion of crab to filler. Lovers of the lobster roll can have it two ways: Connecticut style, with drawn butter, or New England, with mayo.
