This popular new offering from the Berg Hospitality Group serves rustic Italian fare in an equally rustic setting. Alas, our recent meal was uneven: skewers of melted Fontina wrapped in roasted prosciutto were totally addictive, but bland, bready cheese fritters topped with grated Parmesan were disappointing. We were also disappointed with thick, pasty, and rather chewy bucatini with Sicilian pesto, but we loved the campanelle with a hearty lamb ragù fragrant with tomato, sage, and rosemary. Our two desserts had us dueling with spoons; a creamy tiramisu and a caramel butterscotch pudding both garnered raves.
