Unit D Pizzeria
At the west end of the strip center housing famed Dai Due is an unexpected delight: an eatery offering a modern spin on Neapolitan-style pizzas with contemporary side dishes from India and the Middle East. We started with fire-roasted Sicilian olives bathed in a smoked-paprika sauce and a plate of whole carrots roasted in a hypnotic Moroccan tan-tan-spiced sauce. Margherita and pepperoni pizzas arrived on crusts crisply toasted on the outside but giving way to a soft, chewy center. The pepperoni was layered with a spicy bresaola and served with dried ancho chile flakes (plus a stem of dried sage leaves to crumble over the pie).
