This unpretentious South Austin spot, its walls adorned with pithy wine quotes and artsy empty frames, has a great neighborhood feel. A cozy L-shaped interior leads to a perfect wine-drinking patio out back, where you can sample small(ish) plates from the Mediterranean-inflected menu, like blistered shishito peppers under a snowy mound of salty ricotta salata and a superb garlicky pan con tomate. Tuna crudo comes bathed in a soy-citrus vinaigrette, plated with slivers of plums, and sprinkled with crispy shallots and microgreens, while roasted Pacific cod arrives afloat in a bowl of clam chowder accented with Mangalica ham. As you might expect, the wine list is wonderful and varied (no fewer than fifteen rosés!).
