The Art Museum of South Texas will close out 2022 the way it began in 1972—a modern icon. Exhibitions Warhol, Johns and Stella: Revisited and Past Paper// Present Marks: Responding to Rauschenberg opened Friday, October 14 and will remain on view through January 1, 2023, and December 18, 2022 respectively.

An hour, or longer, spent among the galleries is certain to entertain, enlighten and energize the senses. AMST is celebrating 50 years on the Corpus Christi Bay this year.  The original complex, designed by world-renowned architect Philip Johnson, opened to the public in October of 1972.

A reminder that a visit to AMST is also free for the rest of 2022 thanks to H-E-B.

AMST is the fine art institution of the Coastal Bend, welcoming more than 100,000 visitors annually, with rotating exhibitions, a star-studded permanent collection, and breath-taking bay views, the Art Museum of South Texas is truly a diamond in the rough waiting to be discovered by the curious traveler. We welcome those looking to discover the fine art of vacation.
